Frequently Asked Questions -
Dewatering Pumps
What are dewatering pumps used for?
Dewatering pumps are primarily used to remove excess water from areas such as construction sites, mines, farms, and flood-affected areas. They are ideal for pumping water that contains debris or solids, making them versatile for various applications.
What types of dewatering pumps are available?
The dewatering pumps featured on this page are powered by high-quality, branded diesel engines. Built for heavy-duty performance, they are designed to handle large volumes of water and debris with ease.
Are these pumps suitable for handling solids or trash?
Yes, Dewatering pumps are essentially larger, high-capacity versions of “trash pumps”. While “trash pumps” are designed to handle water mixed with debris such as sand, leaves, and solids, dewatering pumps perform the same function on a much larger scale—efficiently moving high volumes of water along with the debris.
What brands of engines are used in the dewatering pumps?
The pumps are equipped with reliable engines from well-known brands, including:
- Yanmar Diesel
- Kohler Diesel
- Kubota Diesel
- Cummins Diesel
